It’s Dr. Seuss’s Birthday; let’s rally,
‘Round our Storytime table at McNally.
We’ll practice what the doctor teaches,
Create our own Sensational Sneetches:
Star Belly, Plain Belly, or sporting plaid breeches;
Golden, saffron, even Two-Belly creatures.
Using paper, tape, fabric, wire, and string,
We’ll revel in teaching our Sneetches to sing.
When we share a birthday toast,
Yvonne Brooks will be our host.
Parent and kids, ages 8 to 3,
Join us: Storytime’s always free.
